CARP FISH TATTOOS

Basic meaning of the carp fish tattoos is luck. But their interpretation can be divided into two types: the first has its roots in the Japanese culture, the second – the Chinese.  The Japanese find carp to be a purely masculine symbol: some years ago the flags with the image of the carp were hung in the house when a boy was born there. In some distant villages we can see this beautiful tradition even today.  In the course of time it became a symbol of a happy life and family well-being.  In the modern interpretation black carp is a symbol of father, a fiery red carp  – of mother, white or blue – a symbol of the son and pink – of daughter.
