AFRICAN TATTOOS




African tattoos often talk about the role of a man in the tribe or point to the geographic location of the tribe. They are also served as amulets and talismans. Now symbols called adinkra are widespread. Originally they were used by tribes in West Africa. Few words about their significance. – Tattoos, reminding a target,  tell about leadership and charisma. Resourcefulness and endurance are portrayed as a fern leaf. Crocodile shows a high adaptability. Wooden comb – a sign of femininity and purity. Moon and Stars are considered to be the signs of loyalty, love and harmony.
